Return to the previous - Part 27: "Being Fatherless does not make you God'"
Acts 2:32 “God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of it.”
Here it says that GOD gave Jesus life, and wasn’t done by Jesus himself. (Islam teaches that Jesus never died, and was lifted to God alive, saving him – just as God had promised to protect him from harm earlier in Isaiah, and heard and responded to his prayer for God to save him (See Matthew 27:46 ). If Jesus was God, he would not need to be saved by God, nor would he even be capable of dying in the first place. God can’t die.
John 6:57 “Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.”
Jesus says that he only lives because God made it so, and that God sent him.
Romans 6:10 “For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.”
If Jesus is God, then this verse is stating that God died – can God die? Where is the need to die if you are an all-powerful god? He (Jesus) lives because God made him to exist.
Qur’an 2:87 “And We did certainly give Moses the Torah and followed up after him with messengers. And We gave Jesus, the son of Mary, clear proofs and supported him with the Pure Spirit. But is it [not] that every time a messenger came to you, [O Children of Israel], with what your souls did not desire, you were arrogant? And a party [of messengers] you denied and another party you killed.”
Allah gave Mary a miracle, a son (of mankind), to be a messenger and prophet of God, that he gave his message to, for him to share it with the Children of Israel.
Qur’an 3:59 “Indeed, the example of Jesus to Allah is like that of Adam. He created Him from dust; then He said to him, "Be," and he was.”
Allah created Adam, and Jesus both by command, he is their Creat-OR, not their pro-creat-OR (father).
Qur’an 19:19-21 “He said, "I am only the messenger of your Lord to give you [news of] a pure boy." She said, "How can I have a boy while no man has touched me and I have not been unchaste?" He said, "Thus [it will be]; your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign to the people and a mercy from Us. And it is a matter [already] decreed.' "
The angel Gabril (Jibril) (the messenger angel) told Mary, that God was giving her a son, through a miracle, that he would be a sign for people to believe he was a messenger and prophet of God. (Jesus was not God because of this miracle virgin birth.)
Qur’an 19:34-35 “That is Jesus, the son of Mary - the word of truth about which they are in dispute. It is not [befitting] for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees an affair, He only says to it, "Be," and it is.”
Allah says Jesus was son of Mary (son of mankind), and that Allah does not need a son, because he is all-powerful by himself. He can command something and it is done.
Qur’an 21:91 “And [mention] the one who guarded her chastity, so We blew into her [garment] through Our angel [Gabriel], and We made her and her son a sign for the worlds.”
Jesus was created by a command, and through the Spirit (Angel Gabriel/Jibril), she was given a son while a virgin to be a miracle for those that knew him, that he was a messenger and prophet sent by God.
